I.A.T.S.E. Local 488 Scholarship Awards Application
Thank you for expressing interest in the I.A.T.S.E. Local 488 Colin Kell Scholarship. In honor of Brother Colin Kell who passed away March 18th, 1995, the officers of I.A.T.S.E. Local 488 have created a scholarship process to promote, perpetuate and expand the educational opportunities available to the children of current and future members of I.A.T.S.E. Local 488 who are current in all union dues and assessments.
The following criteria will be used by the Selection Committee to determine this year's recipient:
A letter from applicant to the Selection Committee requesting the
scholarship and describing intended studies.
A completed application form.
Any proof of achievement, scholastic or otherwise in your chosen field
of study(e.g. diploma, award certificate, school transcript).
Two
letters of recommendation in support of your application.
Photocopy of
parent or legal guardian's membership card showing most current dues stamp.
All materials must be received no later than January 1st prior to the
beginning of the academic year for which you are requesting the scholarship.

The Selection Committee will announce their decisions on the award(s) in May. Successful candidates will receive notification by mail.
